"Attention grabbing design is not born in the piece, but the mind of the viewer."

Graphic Design is simply something I have a passion for. I consider it a hobby as well as a career because even if the paycheck stops, I would still be just as interested.

downtime
research

If you can't tell by now I enjoy the day to day challenges that I’m faced with during the creative process, however life has other beautiful challenges I dear as well. When design isn’t on my mind you’ll find me relaxing or outdoors with my wife Shaundra and our two Corgi's. Living in Idaho, we take advantage of the outdoors by camping, snowboarding and bike riding while gathering inspiration from the scenes. Besides being my wife and best friend, Shaundra is also my business partner and helps me in the studio any chance she gets.

education & experience
research

Midst the formal and informal education of my design career, my self motivation has aided in acquiring a wide variety of design adventures as a freelancer. During this time I also worked for Stevens-Henager College as a Graphic Designer while I earned a degree of Associate of Occupational Studies in Graphic Arts. Through my experience I’ve chosen to focus on logo design, identity design, and web design/development because they not only interest me, their importance and demand is flourishing. In addition, movie production, video editing and flash animation are other specialties I have studied and have a great amount of experience with.

My stay at Stevens-Henager was invaluable to my development as a designer and they were kind enough to leave these words with me:

"When it comes to graphic design, Zach Sagar is a natural. His intuition and instincts guide him through the problem solving process that comes with creation and making things visually stunning, while still maintaining function. His attention to detail and kind understanding will make him a great person to work with and his talent will allow him to go as far as he chooses."
